Job summary

Gi Group (United Kingdom) in Southampton is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform precision/micro-assembly and inspection of high‑tolerance aerospace components. You will use hand tools, microscopes and fixtures, and follow detailed instructions to ensure quality.

Experience in manufacturing, good manual dexterity, and computer literacy are essential; some roles may involve controlled environments and cleanrooms. This is a long‑term, secure manufacturing position in a controlled facility.

Qualifications

Previous manufacturing or assembly experience.
Strong attention to detail and a "right first time" mindset.
Good manual dexterity with small parts.
Able to follow technical instructions and procedures accurately.
Confident using computers (Microsoft Office essential).

Responsibilities

Precision / micro-assembly using hand tools, microscopes and fixtures.
Working with small, delicate, high-tolerance components.
Testing and inspection of electro‑optic and electronic parts.
Following detailed work instructions, drawings and quality standards.
Completing production paperwork accurately and flagging issues early.
Keeping your work area clean, safe and compliant (including controlled environments where required).
