Job summary

Outsource UK Limited is seeking a Mechanical Operator for an on-site role at RAF Marham. The position is a 24-month contract, full-time, with standard hours of 37 per week, and an hourly rate of £23.38 PAYE or £31.34 Umbrella.

You will perform metalworking and corrosion remediation on aircraft, preparing structures for repair and applying bonding techniques. Ideal candidates have NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or equivalent, hands-on experience with metal or composite structures, and a background in

Qualifications

Experience using manual and pneumatic tools (hand and power tools).
Experience working with metal and/or composite structures.
Background in drilling, reaming, fastening or similar engineering activities.
Understanding of quality, safety and compliance standards.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
Engineering Apprenticeship, military equivalent, or demonstrable relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Carry out metalworking and corrosion remediation activities on aircraft.
Prepare metal and composite structures for repair.
Perform drilling, reaming and fastening activities.
Apply adhesive bonding techniques.
Complete maintenance tasks in line with approved procedures and safety standards.
Accurately record and report maintenance activities.
