Job summary

L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer - Aerospace based in Fareham, UK. You will create and modify 3D CAD models and detailed drawings to aerospace standards.

You will perform tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T, update BOMs, support design reviews, and collaborate with stress, thermal, manufacturing, and quality teams while ensuring AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience creating 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using aerospace design standards.
• Familiarity with tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T application.
• Experience maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product documentation.
• Ability to support design reviews and engineering changes (RFCs/ECNs/ECRs).
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and customer-specific design guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using aerospace design standards.
• Design aerospace components such as brackets, enclosures, nacelle parts, ducts, housings, and structural assemblies.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T application, and design reviews.
• Support concept, preliminary, and detailed design phases.
• Develop and maintain BOMs and product documentation.
• Execute engineering changes, RFCs, ECNs/ECRs, and non-conformance resolution activities.
• Collaborate with stress, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and certification teams.
• Support weight optimization and value engineering initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer guidelines.
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
