Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting for a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation to hire a Materials Planner for a 3-month contract in Wimborne. This onsite role focuses on ensuring material availability to support production schedules. You will manage material requirements, monitor inventory, raise requisitions, and liaise with suppliers.

Strong ERP/MRP knowledge and Excel skills are essential. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £25–£30 inside IR35 and requires you to work

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, defence or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and inventory management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot tables, V-LOOKUPs).

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage material requirements to support production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Raise and manage purchase requisitions and expedite deliveries.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure material availability.
• Maintain planning parameters and material data within the ERP/MRP system.
• Analyse demand, supply and inventory trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support resolution of material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
• Generate planning reports and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
