Job summary

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for aerospace and defence, seeks a Material Planner at the Bishops Cleeve site for a six-month period. You will support material management to align with plans and schedules, collaborating with Supply Chain, Programme and Production to ensure on-time, quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment in a planning/material role; ERP/MRP experience preferred.
• Open to candidates starting a career in planning or taking their first step in manufacturing planning.

Responsibilities

• Support effective material management to align with business plans and schedules, working with Supply Chain, Programmes and Production to ensure on-time delivery and required quality.
• Proactively address shortages through the supply chain, goods inward and stores, performing root cause investigation and resolution where needed.
• Identify and manage material requirements for bulk issues including end-of-life management and monitor stock levels and safety stock where appropriate.
