Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Wimborne is seeking a proactive Materials Planner to coordinate demand and orders for aerospace systems. You will interface with Customer Services, Commercial, Procurement and Operations to ensure on-time delivery and accurate lead times.

Responsibilities include tracking demand, contributing to weekly reports, and supporting improvements in delivery, inventory, and cost. Prior experience in a technology environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a materials planner in a technology company (ideally mechanical/electrical/aerospace).

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Customer Services Representatives/Commercial to confirm correct lead times on orders.
• Identify and resolve problems fulfilling demand to schedule and cost.
• Proactively manage schedule dates to meet customer requested dates.
• Create and manage information to track demand through Operations.
• Assist in weekly and monthly reports as required.
• Support process improvements to boost delivery performance, inventory, and cost reduction.
• Coordinate with Procurement and other warehouses to meet committed due dates.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineers to avoid BOM ambiguities.
• Lead drumbeat reviews to progress demand through the business.
• Ensure performance development reviews are completed and acted upon.
• Generate and maintain KPI and performance board information.
• Release and control of work orders, managing parts and start dates.
