Job summary

Safran Engineering Services is seeking an experienced Materials REACh Engineer to manage REACh obsolescence across current and legacy aerospace products. You will identify obsolescence, conduct investigations, and recommend alternatives based on technical specifications and customer expectations.

Role requires surface treatments, chemical & electro-chemical processing knowledge and familiarity with environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science/Engineering or Chemistry required.
• Experience in materials design/selection and process engineering.
• Knowledge of REACh regulations and environmental legislation.
• Experience in the aerospace industry and aerospace materials.
• Strong analytical and technical report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and assess material alternatives and process specifications.
• Provide written reports and justifications on materials issues and line stop risks.
• Deliver investigations and recommendations to meet project schedules and customer expectations.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams with engineers, quality, procurement, PMs and CoE.
• Lead qualification activities and write up investigation reports.
