Job summary

Prestwick Aerosystems Limited in Prestwick, Ayrshire, is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Programmer to develop and optimise manufacturing systems, including robotic and NC programming, to support automated production on Airbus projects.

You will create and amend NC programmes, collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, manage programming simulations and 3D data, and provide guidance to ensure efficient, quality-driven processes at site.

Qualifications

Experience of Manufacturing Systems Programming Techniques
Conversant in 3D modelling techniques
Good knowledge of PDM tools
Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems and equipment
HND level or equivalent in Manufacturing/Technology (desirable)
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with customers and suppliers
Good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access

Responsibilities

Develop and optimise manufacturing systems including robotics and NC programmes
Create and amend NC Programmes
Support programming data creation with Design and Manufacturing
Create and maintain programming simulation models
Manipulate 3D data to support manufacturing processes
Provide technical guidance and training to enable efficient manufacturing systems programming
Manage tools and cutters to support manufacturing operations
