Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Industrialisation Engineer to support the transition of product designs into manufacturing. This role requires a strong understanding of design validation, manufacturing feasibility, and industrialisation processes, working with design teams to ensure manufacturability.

Based in Broughton and on-site, the engineer will validate designs for manufacturability, investigate assembly issues, collaborate with design teams, review GD&T, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Experience in Manufacturing/Industrialisation Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA and DFM.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Familiar with drilling, reaming, machining and assembly.
• Collaborates with design offices and engineering teams.
• Mandatory aerospace experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or equivalent military experience.

Responsibilities

• Validate designs for manufacturability and assembly.
• Investigate manufacturing and assembly abnormalities and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure feasibility.
• Review drawings, GD&T, notes and tolerances for manufacturability.
• Support DFMEA and PFMEA activities and continuous improvement.
