Job summary

ALTEN UK is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support a major aerospace manufacturing programme based in Broughton. Ideal for a junior engineer with around 2-3 years of industry experience in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

Location: Broughton; On Site: Fully onsite; Clearance: Clearable; Experience Level: Junior - Mid. You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize production and create robust documentation while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
2–3 years’ experience in Manufacturing/Process/Production engineering.
Aerospace industry experience preferred.
Experience with FAI and manufacturing process documentation.

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing and production engineering activities across assembly and production.
Conduct and support First Article Inspection (FAI).
Review, update, and maintain SOIs and SOPs.
Assist in development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
Support investigation and resolution of manufacturing issues.
Ensure production documentation complies with quality requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Engineering.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
