Our client in South Molton, Devon, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support development, improvement and maintenance of robust manufacturing processes for aerospace components supplied to global aviation customers.

You will drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and operational excellence, lead cross-functional projects and apply Six Sigma tools to reduce variation and improve capability. Knowledge of CAD/CAM and aerospace standards is advantageous.

Formación

• Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping and One-Piece Flow.
• Experience with Six Sigma tools (RCA, 8D, PFMEA, Control Charts, Pareto, Gage R&R).

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain robust, cost-effective manufacturing processes and controls.
• Drive continuous improvement, lean initiatives and cost reduction.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Apply Six Sigma methods to reduce variation and improve process capability.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and NPI readiness.
• Prepare cost estimates and business cases for new equipment and technologies.
• Train and mentor production personnel on process improvements.
