Qualifications
- A strong mechanical bias with excellent mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with maintenance in aerospace/automotive environments is beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
- Good knowledge of health & safety and risk assessment.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM/TPM).
- Responding to breakdowns and performing mechanical fault finding.
- Inspecting, testing and diagnosing machinery and equipment.
- Repairing machinery using drawings, diagrams and manuals.
- Working on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Maintaining vacuum casting furnaces, automated robots and CNC machinery.
- Replacing and repairing components including bearings, motors and valves.
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Identifying recurring problems and proposing reliability improvements.
