Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading, fully automated manufacturing site near Leeds. The role is a long‑term contract with a rate of up to £38 per hour outside IR35 and a 14 on / 4 off pattern, with 2-hour days only.

Candidates must have UK maintenance technician experience in a fully automated production environment, with a strong mechanical or electrical maintenance background and a hands‑on, team‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification at City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing/production environment.
• Strong background in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Hands-on approach and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance of production machinery
• Electrical or mechanical fault finding and repair (depending on skill set)
• Minimise downtime and support on breakdowns
• Assist with continuous improvement projects
