Job summary

Vanta Staffing Limited is seeking an Assembly Operative for a client in Amersham. You will assemble aircraft interior components using polycarbonate, metals and composites while ensuring stringent quality standards.

The role is full-time (38 hours/week) with Monday-Thursday and Friday shifts, offering training, lean manufacturing exposure, and team-based performance expectations in a regulated production environment.

Qualifications

• Able to follow work instructions and interpret engineering drawings.
• Previous experience in component assembly.
• Experience in aerospace interiors assembly is advantageous.
• Competent in using machinery such as band saws, hand routers, drills, and hand tools.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Bond and assemble plastic aircraft interior parts including panels, meal trays, seat backs, literature pockets, and magazine racks.
• Follow work instructions and engineering drawings accurately.
• Achieve and surpass manufacturing targets.
• Prepare and assemble composite components.
• Repair and overhaul damaged plastic parts.
• Visually inspect and self-certify finished products to ensure quality.
• Undertake training and assist with other production and assembly duties as required.
• Actively contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Participate in daily and weekly SQCDP board meetings.
• Support team goals by delivering quality results.
