Job summary

AMLR Recruitment Ltd in Basildon is seeking a Skilled Aircraft Assembler for a night shift role in a leading aerospace manufacturer. You will assemble aircraft components to customer specifications and aerospace standards in a busy, high-quality manufacturing environment.

The role requires proven assembly experience, especially with sheet metal, rivets, and reading engineering drawings; you will use air tools, rivet guns, calipers, and a range of hand tools to meet exacting tolerances.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a skilled assembly role in aerospace or precision engineering.
• Experience with sheet metal, aircraft components and riveting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out the assembly of aircraft components to customer-defined specifications and required quality standards.
• Assembling new aircraft components using solid rivets and a range of hand and air riveting tools.
• Using air tools including drills, rivet guns and rivet presses.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and assembly instructions.
• Carrying out visual inspections of completed products to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping within the working area.
• Working flexibly across a range of assembly activities to meet production targets.
