Job summary

RLC in Altham, England, is seeking an Aerospace Industrial Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on improving production performance across machining and assembly, with emphasis on CNC processes, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

You will analyse processes, drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, optimise CNC operations, conduct time studies and support production planning.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering.
• Aerospace/defence or precision manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining and production planning.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and optimise manufacturing processes across machining and production environments.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and IE techniques.
• Evaluate CNC operations including utilization, cycle times, setup reduction.
• Perform time studies, capacity analysis and production planning.
• Support CNC cells by removing bottlenecks and improving throughput.
• Collaborate with CNC programmers and engineers to improve strategies.
• Review routes, plans and methods for compliance and safety.
• Support new product introductions and develop SOPs.
