Job summary

R.E. Thompson & Co. Ltd seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer at their Andover facility. In this role, you will design and implement production methodologies to deliver quality products, manage all stages of manufacture, and drive improvements using 5S and lean practices.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience in CNC machining and 5-axis technology. The position offers a salary of £58,000 – £65,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role within precision engineering or aerospace.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining processes and 5-axis technology.
• Understanding of AS9100 quality management systems.

• Develop efficient CNC processes and optimise tooling for complex precision components.
• Drive manufacturing improvements and support production excellence through lean practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
