Job summary

Parker Meggitt in Fareham is seeking a General Assembly Operator to manufacture and test aerospace components to the highest quality standards in a safety-critical environment. You will perform precision assembly and welding (TIG/rotary), interpret engineering drawings and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

This is a permanent, full-time twilight shift role.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Experience performing TIG or rotary welding on small or precision components.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly and manufacturing operations in line with engineering drawings and build specifications.
• Carry out TIG or rotary welding activities on small, intricate aerospace components.
• Conduct testing, measurement and inspection to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Set up and use assembly fixtures, tooling and equipment safely.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across the production area.
