Job summary

ITP Aero Group in Hucknall, UK, offers a 12‑month Year-in Industry placement in Manufacturing Engineering and Special Processes. You’ll work on real aerospace projects, develop methods of manufacture, and gain experience across design, quality, and production teams.

You’ll be supported to learn from experienced colleagues, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements, attend audits, and grow within a leading aeronautical engine supplier.

Qualifications

• Working towards a minimum of a HNC in Aerospace/General/Materials/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Able to communicate effectively and influence at all levels.
• Background in aerospace is not essential.
• Familiar with DMAIC problem-solving.
• Able to apply analytical and innovative thinking to technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Methods of Manufacture and technical packages for shop floor use.
• Apply Build in Quality tools and use data analysis software to monitor process capability.
• Plan and manage engineering projects aligned with UK-Spec competencies.
• Support production flow and drive continuous improvement to reduce concessions and costs.
• Contribute to development of new manufacturing processes using emerging technologies.
• Support the Special Processes to ensure NADCAP compliance and approvals.
