Job summary

ITP Aero UK wishes to attract motivated undergraduates for a 12‑month Year‑in‑Industry placement in the Integrated Supply Chain. You will gain hands-on experience across logistics, planning, procurement and operations while contributing to real improvement projects.

You will be mentored, coached and developed in a global aerospace environment, with duties spanning data analysis, supplier interactions and cross‑functional collaboration. This paid placement includes a range of wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Working towards a minimum HNC within supply chain, logistics, procurement or operations related degree.
• Good communications skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
• A strong interest in supply chain and business operations.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• A willingness to learn and adapt within different business environments.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.
• A proactive approach and a desire to contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Support logistics and material flow activities across the supply chain.
• Assist with production planning, scheduling and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities.
• Support inventory management and stock control activities.
• Contribute to supplier and procurement activities, including purchasing processes and supplier performance management.
• Work alongside Production Controllers and operational teams to understand manufacturing planning and scheduling principles.
• Support customer delivery and operational performance initiatives.
• Participate in continuous improvement and transformation projects.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Develop an understanding of Value Stream principles and operational excellence methodologies.
• Support cross-functional collaboration between supply chain, operations, procurement and external stakeholders.
• Participate in project reviews, team meetings and business improvement activities.
• Prepare and present findings, recommendations and project outcomes to stakeholders and leadership teams.
