Job summary

GKN Aerospace Global Technology Centre, Bristol, is offering a year-in-industry placement for aspiring engineers. You will work on real AM projects, contribute to the development of next-generation aerospace technologies, and gain hands-on experience under experienced mentors.

The role focuses on Powder Bed Additive Manufacturing for engines and space product applications, with opportunities for international exposure and cross-team collaboration. Start August/Sept 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Interest in additive manufacturing and aerospace/space science.

Responsibilities

• Support development of AM technologies for Aeroengine and Space Product applications.
• Design products and test specimens, prepare AM build files, run simulations, support manufacturing.
