Job summary

Boeing United Kingdom Limited offers a 3-month Engineering internship based at Boeing’s Aerospace Innovation Centre (AIC) in the United Kingdom. The role supports an Aerospace Engineering Research and Technology Development Programme with industry and academic partners.

The position focuses on storage, distribution and structures integration technologies, helping drive innovation from research to practical application within a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences.
• Experience with PLM, CAD and FEM tools to deliver solutions to challenging engineering problems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and coordination.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, team-based environment while supporting multiple tasks and priorities.
• Familiarity with MBSE and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering team with the structural design and analysis activities for an Aerospace Engineering Research and Technology Development Programme.
• Assist the team with delivering project milestones and deliverables to keep workstreams on time and aligned with programme goals.
• Support meetings, prepare agendas, capture notes and follow up on actions with internal teams, industry partners and academic collaborators.
• Help create and maintain project documentation, presentations, status updates and other records to support clear communication and effective project execution.
• Support collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Gain practical experience in engineering within an advanced aerospace innovation environment, while supporting the successful delivery of research and technology objectives.
