Job summary

Ontic invites applications for its 2027 Apprenticeship Programme across Electronic and Mechanical Engineering at Bishops Cleeve, Staverton and Tewkesbury sites in Gloucestershire. The pathway includes Level 3 and Level 4/5 Engineering apprenticeships with hands-on experience and a nationally recognised qualification.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English at grades 9–4 (A*-C) are required or expected.
• Science or technical-based subject is desirable.
• For Level 4/5 apprenticeships, a Level 3 qualification in Engineering or A-Level Maths and Physics (grade C+).

Responsibilities

• Observing, learning and applying a wide range of engineering skills and processes.
• Gaining practical experience with electronic or mechanical aerospace components.
• Supporting engineering teams with manufacturing, assembly, inspection, testing, maintenance or repair activities.
• Learning how to use precision tools, technical drawings and measuring equipment.
• Undertaking academic and practical training towards a Level 3 or Level 4/5 Engineering qualification.
• Following Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Keeping detailed records of training and progress.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and maintaining a clean, professional workspace.
