Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester invites applications for several Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship opportunities. You will gain hands-on experience in aerospace engineering while working toward a national Level 3 qualification, with potential exposure to assembly, machining and repair operations.

Throughout the three-year programme, you will train at a local specialist provider in Year 1 and then continue in Safran sites, supported by an Apprenticeship Coordinator to guide your development

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs at grades 9-5 or A-C, including English, Maths and Science.
• A genuine interest in engineering, manufacturing and aerospace.
• Willingness to learn and complete both practical and academic aspects of the apprenticeship.
• Desirable criteria include studying related subjects such as Engineering, Design and Technology, Mathematics, Science or other STEM subjects.
• Experience of teamwork, problem-solving or practical activities through education or employment.

Responsibilities

• Work safely within a highly regulated aerospace engineering environment.
• Follow aerospace specifications, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Support the manufacture, assembly, maintenance and repair of aerospace components.
• Use specialist tools, machinery and equipment to complete engineering activities.
• Work to strict quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Develop practical engineering skills through structured workplace training.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Apply your apprenticeship learning to real engineering challenges.
