Job summary

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for aerospace and defence, is recruiting an Electronics Test Engineer for our Production Engineering team based at Bishop Cleeve, Cheltenham, with occasional travel for new licenses.

You will set up, validate and optimise advanced test equipment, fault-find to component level in PCBAs, and collaborate with Production, Quality and Suppliers to drive improvements and ensure safety and performance of aerospace systems.

Qualifications

• Experienced Electronics Technician or Test Engineer
• Qualification in Electronics (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with analogue and/or digital electronics
• Able to communicate across multiple departments and with external suppliers

Responsibilities

• Set up, validate and optimise advanced electronic test equipment.
• Fault-find to component level on PCBAs and identify root causes.
• Collaborate with Production Engineering, Quality, Sustainment Engineering and suppliers to drive improvements.
