Job summary

A global engineering consultancy in Birmingham seeks an Electro-mechanical Design Engineer to support aerospace projects. You will design high-integrity electro-mechanical systems and collaborate closely with electrical engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in 3D CAD modeling and GD&T standards, along with experience in electric motor or inverter design. This role offers a dynamic environment to contribute to cutting-edge technological solutions and support sustainable transformation.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or safety-critical engineering environments.
• Knowledge of engineering standards and structured design processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D CAD models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings for electro-mechanical components.
• Produce drawings using GD&T in line with BS8888 or ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers to support ECAD/MCAD integration.
• Support prototype build and design validation activities.
