Job summary

Bec Recruitment are recruiting an experienced FAIR Inspector / Engineer to join our clients engineering organisation in Greater Manchester. This role suits a quality professional with strong FAIR experience in metallic manufacturing, ideally aerospace or defence sectors.

You will compile, review and submit full and delta FAIRs, read engineering drawings, inspect sheet metal and machined components, and support non-conformance and MRB processes while maintaining accurate quality records in line

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' FAIR compilation experience in metallic manufacturing.
• Experience compiling both full and delta FAIRs.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of aerospace and/or defence quality standards.
• Experience with QMS/IMS and non-conformance/MRB processes.
• Experience using inspection equipment such as hand tools, Keyence and/or CMM.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft applications and FAIR software.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Time-served inspection background advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Compiling, reviewing and submitting full and delta FAIRs.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Inspecting sheet metal, assembled, machined and/or turned components.
• Using inspection and measuring equipment, including hand measuring tools, Keyence and CMM.
• Supporting non-conformance and MRB processes.
• Maintaining accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
• Working in accordance with established QMS/IMS procedures.
• Following company 5S, quality and health & safety standards.
