Job summary

Safran is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead the CMS and ensure configuration governance across the product lifecycle. You will align CMS with group processes, QMS, and regulatory standards, driving improvements and reporting KPIs.

You will own the engineering change control, chair CCBs, standardise practices, and support Windchill PLM deployment for robust configuration management.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• CMII Level 6 Certification.
• Proficient in CATIA V5, SmarTeam, and PLM systems.
• Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries.
• Familiar with Boeing and Airbus specifications.
• Strong understanding of engineering release, change control, and approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the CMS, ensuring configuration governance across the lifecycle.
• Improve CMS compliance with group processes and regulatory requirements.
• Own and optimise engineering change control and CCBs.
• Standardise configuration practices in line with procedures.
• Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimisation.
• Analyse CMS performance and drive improvements.
