Job summary

Safran is seeking a Configuration Manager in Northampton to lead the CMS governance across product and programme configurations. You will own the engineering change control process and drive standardisation in line with group procedures.

You will collaborate with Change/Programme teams, support Windchill deployments, and ensure KPI reporting and governance align with regulatory standards. This role requires strong aerospace experience and CMII certification.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering, or HNC/HND (or equivalent).
• CMII Level 6 Certified with strong configuration management knowledge.
• Familiarity with PLM systems (CATIA V5, SmarTeam, Windchill).

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and maintain the CMS, ensuring governance and traceability of configurations across lifecycle.
• Own and optimise the engineering change control process and Change Control Boards (CCBs).
• Drive standardisation of configuration and engineering change practices aligned with group processes.
• Produce and maintain configuration management data and reports for programmes and projects.
• Embed configuration control across delivery and change implementation; support Windchill deployment.
