Job summary

HPCAREERS LIMITED is seeking a Laminator Operator for its Wirral facility to manufacture aerospace components. The role requires at least 2 years of laminating experience, ability to read engineering drawings, and strict adherence to technical instructions.

You will collaborate with manufacturing engineering to develop standard work and participate in design for manufacture workshops for new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in Laminating across a broad range of products.
• Confident reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Carrying out work in adherence to technical drawings, internal and external specifications, and laminating instructions as appropriate ensuring accuracy and process documentation.
• Working closely with manufacturing engineering to support the development of standard work instructions and taking part in design for manufacture workshops for new product introduction.
• Identifying, defining, and supporting the introduction of continuous improvement activities in the area of trimming and assembly.
• A practical level qualification e.g. an NVQ, Apprenticeship in manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical.

Responsibilities

• Carry out laminating work strictly according to technical drawings and laminating instructions.
• Document and maintain process accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Support the development of standard work instructions and participate in DFm workshops for new product introduction.
• Assist continuous improvement activities in trimming and assembly.
