Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Technician - Machining 4 in Leighton Buzzard to lead advanced CNC operations. You will set up, program (Fanuc), and optimise processes on 3- and 5-axis machines to produce high-precision aerospace components.

You will troubleshoot real-time issues, ensure quality and safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement within the S&SP business, supporting on-time delivery and customer satisfaction at Collins Aerospace.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in CNC machining in precision engineering environments.
• Ability to set up and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC machines.
• Advanced knowledge of Fanuc controls and G/M code programming.
• Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed machine set-ups and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC machinery.
• Manage TPM and equipment readiness to ensure uptime.
• Troubleshoot machining issues in real time and optimise processes.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and safe working practices.
