Job summary

AALTO in Farnborough, United Kingdom, is seeking an Assembly, Integration, and Test Technician to support the build and integration of Zephyr aircraft and Ground Support Equipment. You will work to deliver mission-ready platforms safely and to the highest quality standards.

The role demands hands-on production of avionic hardware, wiring installations, and adherence to aerospace processes. You will contribute to continuous improvement, and training will be provided to develop workforce knowledge

Qualifications

• BSc/quals not required if apprenticeship completed; NVQ 3 in avionics is preferred.
• Capable of reading engineering drawings and following processes.
• Experience with installation and system integration tests.
• Knowledge of basic test equipment and wiring installations.

Responsibilities

• Avionic and mechanical equipment installation, wiring and system integration.
• Manufacture of avionic in-house components as required.
• Adhere to Health and Safety procedures and report issues.
• Troubleshoot, problem-solve and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out dimensional verification to specification using calibrated jigs.
• Identify waste and drive efficiency improvements in assembly.
• Support shop safety initiatives and implement countermeasures.
• Safely handle fragile components and escalate risks promptly.
• Provide training and guidance to teammates; share knowledge.
