Job summary

AALTO, based in Farnborough, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop and deliver mechanical solutions across Zephyr programmes. You will collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, test and assembly teams throughout the product lifecycle.

The role focuses on lightweight aerospace structures and systems in a fast-moving, innovative environment with strong emphasis on design for manufacture and robust engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a mechanical design engineering role.
• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modelling, preferably SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs for Zephyr programmes across the product lifecycle.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Support manufacturing by resolving design issues and providing engineering support.
