Job summary

Parker Meggitt in Fareham is seeking a Production Assembler to join our aerospace manufacturing team, producing and testing speed sensors used to monitor engine rotational speeds in safety-critical applications.

This hands-on role includes mechanical assembly, soldering and electrical testing to ensure products meet strict aerospace quality standards, in a highly regulated environment with strong emphasis on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Mechanical assembly experience and knowledge of soldering processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Computer literacy and a structured approach with strong attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, good attendance and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble aerospace speed sensor components per drawings and instructions.
• Carry out mechanical assembly, soldering, electrical testing, potting and leak testing.
• Ensure products are correctly marked and meet quality and traceability standards.
• Maintain a safe, organised and efficient work area, supporting 5S and safety initiatives.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance quality and processes.
