Job summary

Parker Meggitt in Fareham is seeking a hands-on Process Technician to build, modify, rework and test electronic assemblies for aerospace products. You will use small tools, perform basic testing and ensure products meet required standards before release to customers.

You will carry out sub-assembly testing, rework as needed, document test results and support finishing operations prior to shipment. The role requires attention to process documentation and quality controls in a manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Electronic manufacturing background.
  • Experience in PCB rework and SMT soldering.
  • Proficient with small tooling and assembly processes.
  • Ability to read and follow documentation and procedures.
  • Willing to flag issues and quality concerns.
  • Experience with both mechanical and electrical assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Operate processes to build and test sub-assemblies per procedures.
  • Perform basic rework and modifications per instructions.
  • Complete test reports and relevant documentation.
  • Carry out basic pass/fail test routines.
  • Finish operations prior to shipment to customers.
  • Maintain accurate updates in business information systems.

Position Summary
The Role

This is a hands‑on Process Technician role, where you will be responsible for building, modifying, reworking and testing electronic assemblies that support critical aerospace products. You will be working with small tools, carrying out assembly activities, conducting basic testing and helping ensure products meet the required standards before they are released to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Operate processes and to build and test sub-assemblies in accordance with procedures and instructions
  • Carry out basic rework and modifications in accordance with relevant instructions
  • Complete test reports and other relevant documentation
  • Conduct basic pass / fail test routines
  • Carry out finishing operations prior to shipment to customer
  • Maintain input to business information systems as appropriate
