Job summary

Recruit Engineering in Denham is seeking an Anodising Operative to join its aerospace-focused surface finishing team. The role involves operating anodising lines, jigging, masking, inspecting surfaces to aerospace standards, and handling process chemicals.

You should have a manufacturing or engineering background, experience in anodising or related processes, strong attention to detail, and COSHH awareness.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or engineering background required.
• Competence in anodising or a similar process.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Understanding of health & safety and COSHH requirements.
• Ability to work double day shifts.
• Experience with process chemicals or metal finishing is useful.

Responsibilities

• Operating manual or automated anodising lines.
• Jigging, masking and plugging components prior to processing.
• Inspecting finished surfaces to aerospace quality standards.
• Working with process chemicals to defined specifications.
• Operating vibratory finishing and barrel tumbling equipment.
• Preparing surfaces ahead of anodising or passivation.
• Masking critical features such as bores, slots and edges.
• Deburring and finishing components to tight tolerances.
• Working with small, detailed parts requiring good dexterity.
• Working from engineering drawings.
• Following strict quality and safety processes.
