Job summary

MBDA, a leading defence organisation, is seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer to join the Bristol team. You will work in a multidisciplinary group on cutting-edge defence programmes, spanning concept development through to in-service and integration, focusing on aerodynamics across air, land and sea platforms.

You will collaborate with experts in System Design and Propulsion, apply CFD and in-house analysis tools, and contribute to wind tunnel work and flight trials as needed.

Qualifications

• A degree in Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in aerodynamics, preferably within defence/aerospace.
• Expertise in applying simulation tools or undertaking physical testing.
• Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think critically and innovatively to solve complex aerodynamic challenges.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with or lead teams to develop innovative aerodynamic concepts.
• Coach and mentor colleagues, contributing to a supportive team culture.
• Support the development of in-house analysis tools.
• Collaborate with external organisations, including the Ministry of Defence, other aerospace companies, and academia.
