Job summary

Beagle Aircraft in Christchurch, England seeks an experienced CNC Programmer to join the Engineering team. You will develop offline CNC programmes for complex aerospace components and work closely with the shop floor to optimise strategies and tooling.

The role requires 5-axis machining experience and proficiency in SolidCAM and CATIA V5, with a practical hands-on approach to manufacturing and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Time-served CNC machining background is required or highly valued.
• Strong offline CAM programming experience and 5-axis milling expertise.
• Experience using CATIA V5 and SolidCAM for aerospace components.

Responsibilities

• Develop offline CNC programmes for complex 3, 4 and 5-axis milling operations.
• Create and optimise machining strategies using SolidCAM / CATIA V5.
• Select cutting tools, speeds, feeds and methods for efficient production.
• Verify programmes using Vericut where required.
• Support design of fixtures, workholding and specialist tooling.
• Produce basic CAD models and drawings for tooling.
• Collaborate with CNC machinists and Engineering to prove programmes and resolve issues.
• Improve existing programmes to reduce cycle times and boost efficiency.
