Job summary

Certo in Frome, Somerset is seeking a Workshop Technician to join the workshop team and assist in the assembly, maintenance and testing of uncrewed aircraft. The role involves hands-on mechanical and electrical work, with training provided where needed and opportunities to contribute to prototype development.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical or electrical assembly experience preferred.
• Fabrication skills such as grinding, welding or sheet metal work.
• Experience with composite materials is advantageous.
• Practical electrical/electrical engineering knowledge beneficial.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and equipment testing is helpful.
• Experience in workshop operations or stores management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and electrical assembly of uncrewed aircraft from components.
• Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades.
• Assist with prototype development and modification.
• Work with mechanical and electrical parts, ensuring safety and accuracy.
• Support fabrication activities, including grinding, welding and sheet metal work.
