Job summary

Arista Networks seeks an Advisory Systems Engineer to work with large Public Sector accounts, acting as a strategic technical advisor and customer success catalyst. You’ll drive Day 2 lifecycle adoption by guiding operational optimization and automation maturity, linking technical health to revenue outcomes.

Your accounts are long-term and you will collaborate with Arista PS and engineering teams to ensure end-to-end coverage and value realization for customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles (network consulting, customer success, solution architecture, etc.)
• Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance
• Expertise in L2/L3 networking, routing (OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN) and automation ecosystems (EOS, CloudVision, Ansible, Terraform, Python)
• Strong consultative and business acumen; experience linking technical outcomes to revenue growth
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and advisory skills
• Arista ACE certification (or willingness to obtain within first 90 days)
• Background in customer-facing consultative roles including professional services or customer success engineering preferred
• Knowledge of data center, cloud, campus or routing environments

Responsibilities

• Customer Advisory (Primary): Proactively engage customers to position Arista products and expand account footprint.
• Automation & Optimization: Deploy and integrate CloudVision, APIs, and automation toolsets for monitoring and provisioning.
• Technical Knowledge Leadership: Deliver workshops on automation, CI/CD, CloudVision, and AVD; guide training and skill uplift.
• Escalation & Collaboration: Liaise between customers, Arista TAC and engineering; coordinate with SEs and PS teams for end-to-end coverage.
