Description

We are looking for an ambitious and personable Advertising Sales Consultant to join our team, representing our Dorset Living portfolio of lifestyle magazines. This permanent role combines field sales and account management, focusing on developing client relationships across Dorset, particularly in key areas such as Bournemouth, Weymouth, and the surrounding towns and villages.

As part of this role, you’ll spend time visiting clients, so familiarity with the area, a valid driving license, and a passion for supporting local businesses is essential.

Working Pattern: Full-time, hybrid role with one day a week in the Bournemouth office. Part-time hours considered, with salary pro-rated accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients across Dorset.
  • Drive advertising sales for the Dorset Living portfolio.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings to understand client needs and propose tailored advertising solutions.
  • Seek new business opportunities through outreach and networking.
  • Collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to deliver impactful campaigns.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Proven experience in magazine or media sales; experience in selling luxury brands is a plus.
  • Strong business development skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Good local knowledge of Dorset, especially key areas.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
