Job summary

Plumpton College is seeking a part-time Adventure Education lecturer to teach on Level 2 and Level 3 courses. The role includes planning, delivering and assessing lessons, tracking progress, and acting as a personal tutor through induction, reviews and progression.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in adventure education.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• In-date First Aid qualification relevant to the sector.
• Level 2 or above in English and maths.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons to a consistently good or outstanding standard.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Act as a personal tutor, supporting induction, reviews and progression.
• Promote attendance and the development of English and maths within vocational learning.
• Use college systems and technology for teaching, learning and tracking.
• Contribute to quality improvement and awarding organisation processes.
• Support enrichment activities, trips, residentials, recruitment and open events.
• Work with managers on curriculum development and safeguarding requirements.
