Advanced Technical Lecturer - Engineering (Principles, Modelling and Analysis)
Role Description

Newcastle College invites applications from dedicated and enthusiastic individuals passionate about education and student progression. We seek a qualified and dynamic person to join as an Advanced Technical Lecturer in Engineering.

Your responsibilities include delivering and assessing high-quality learning, monitoring student progress, implementing interventions, and maintaining effective communication with parents, external agencies, and colleagues. You will foster high standards in teaching and learning, support student development with patience and empathy, and create a nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in mechanical engineering and have a strong industry background. A post-16 teaching qualification and Level 2 English and maths qualifications are required or should be achievable within an agreed timeframe. Experience in FE, HE, or Apprenticeships, with proven teaching success, is essential. Excellent communication skills, digital literacy, workload management, and flexibility for evening/weekend work are also required.
