Community Integrated Care is seeking an Advanced Support Worker in Winchester to lead a small team and deliver high quality, person-centred care within a supported living service. You will guide colleagues, role-model empathetic leadership, and promote a positive, inclusive environment.

We welcome experienced care professionals with Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent, and a willingness to develop leadership skills while supporting adults with diverse needs in a community setting.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role

This is a full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) within a friendly and supportive supported living service in Winchester, where you'll play a key role in helping people achieve their goals while supporting and guiding colleagues to deliver outstanding person-centred care.

We're looking for someone who can lead by example, inspire others, and bring positivity, energy and compassion to the role. Ideally, you'll have:

• A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, Prader-Willi Syndrome or complex support needs
• A strong understanding of person-centred support and positive risk-taking
• Experience mentoring, guiding or supporting colleagues within a care setting
• A full UK driving licence would be advantageous

If you don't currently hold a Level 3 qualification but have significant experience within social care, we'd still love to hear from you and can support your ongoing development.

Meet the People You'll Be Supporting

As part of the recruitment process, you'll have the opportunity to visit the service, meet the people who live there, and get a real feel for the home and team.

You'll be supporting a diverse group of adults aged from their late 20s to early 60s who live within a supported living community on the outskirts of Winchester. The people we support have a variety of needs, including autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome and mobility needs, but what they all share is a determination to live as independently and positively as possible.

The service is full of ambition, personality and opportunity. People are continually working towards goals that are important to them, whether that's developing life skills, becoming more involved in their community, improving confidence, furthering their education, learning to cook independently, or simply trying something new.

Life here is varied and rewarding. One day the team may be supporting someone to attend a local community group, enjoy a walk, go bowling or visit the cinema. The next could involve helping someone build confidence in the kitchen, take part in arts and crafts, develop daily living skills or spend time with friends in the communal areas.

The service consists of two supported living houses, each with four self-contained flats and welcoming communal spaces where people come together to socialise, enjoy meals, play games and celebrate achievements together. There is also a spacious outdoor area where people enjoy gardening, BBQ's and spending time outside.

The people who live here describe themselves as fun, outgoing, ambitious and positive. They value colleagues who are kind, trustworthy, patient and proactive; people who support them to achieve their goals, build confidence and make the most of every opportunity.

As an advanced support worker, you'll not only support people to live their Best Lives Possible, but you'll also encourage, lead and develop your colleagues to deliver exceptional support every day.
