Most of us won’t need any physical assistance but we may need staff support when we go out and about. We have different challenges in our lives which include, autism, learning disabilities and Epilepsy. We have a staff team who are all trained in our specific needs and are familiar with us.
We also have a core team that are based in the staff bungalow but can help if needed. The staff work 3 x 10pm to 8pm, 1x 08:00-22:00 and another 9am to 5pm.
The idealcandidatewill have a Level 3 in Social Careandstrong experience inmental health, autismandsensory communication, and physical health.
If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.
You will know how to connect with people and bepassionate about supportingpeople to liveindependently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.
We will develop your talentswith a range of specialist training,includingthe opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and thePictureExchangeSystem.
During recruitment you willmeet the peoplewesupport in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalitiesfirst-handand fully understand the level of support thattheyrequire.
