Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of the people we support with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do. We believe it’s a great place to work with great benefits too!
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support. In return, we invest in pay, recognition, wellbeing, and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support, and PPE you need and will help you develop your career with us.
One of the values of Community Integrated Care is our passion for our people, and every year we invest heavily in our front-line worker pay, in line with the Living Wage increase each April.
Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues.
So, until 31 March, your pay will be £13.74 per hour, and from 1 April, it will increase to £14.62 per hour.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
About Me: I enjoy having my own space. Routine is important, and this means you will need to think outside of the box. The team is dedicated to supporting me to live my best life. You will need to access community facilities and engage in person-centered activities. We evolve and develop together to do things better. It’s important for me to have positive relationships with my family and support circles.
I love recycling and frequently visit the recycling centre. I enjoy car rides and walks, especially having snacks while out. I like watching TV comedies and playing with bubbles. I enjoy visiting the bowling alley and then having a pint at the pub. My aspiration is to visit Buckingham Palace, so if you have connections, you’re hired!
“Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this role, a male colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act.”
About You: You need to be reliable, motivated, and passionate. You should be enthusiastic, striving to go above and beyond. You must understand our compliance with contracts and CQC standards and help us achieve an “Outstanding” rating. Commitment to personalized support is essential.
You will need to communicate positively and honestly, using aids like basic Makaton or on my iPad.
This role involves driving the company vehicle, so a full UK driver’s license is essential. You must have held your license for at least 2 years due to insurance policies.
Your values:
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience with learning disabilities and autism. If you lack a qualification, experience in social care and willingness to work towards one are required.
You should connect well with people and be passionate about supporting independence. Sharing your skills and mentoring colleagues is valued.
We will develop your talents through specialist training, including Positive Behaviour Support methods.
Sharing our company values — We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable — is important to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
