A leading company in the health and social care sector is looking for Support Workers to assist vulnerable individuals recovering from addiction. The role offers flexible working hours across various supportive living arrangements, ensuring that you can adapt work to your lifestyle. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, resilient, and possess effective communication skills to manage the unique challenges faced by vulnerable populations.
Due to very high demand, we are actively recruiting Support Workers with experience in drug and alcohol misuse to cover shifts in Post-16's Supported Living, Mental Health Units, Homeless Hostels, and Drug and Alcohol Recovery Units in the West Sussex area, including but not limited to Chichester, Bognor Regis, Worthing, Horsham, Crawley, and surrounding areas.
We offer Addiction Support Worker shifts supporting vulnerable young people and adults actively using or recovering from drug and alcohol addictions across various settings throughout West Sussex. Shifts include early mornings, late evenings, long days, sleep-ins, and waking nights. You can work continuously within a single project for consistency or across different projects for flexibility and variety. Our current Support Workers value the ability to work as much or as little as they like, fitting work around their lifestyle or using it as their main income source.
We seek individuals with experience in addiction, recovery units, or supporting young people and adults with similar backgrounds.
Ideal candidates will be emotionally resilient, patient, empathetic, and possess strong communication skills. They should be capable of maintaining safe working boundaries and managing challenging and unpredictable behaviours from young people and adults who have faced traumatic issues.
