Job summary

Caritas Recruitment is seeking an Advanced Social Worker for the Disabled Children's Service in Devon, to improve the lives of children with disabilities and their families. You will assess needs, develop and implement care plans, and uphold high standards of social work practice.

The role involves multi-disciplinary collaboration, clear communication with families, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to service development.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with Degree in Social Work or DipSW.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Significant post-qualification experience in children's services.
• Strong knowledge of legislation and best practice for children with disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and families.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic support.
• Develop and review care plans with families, ensuring their voices are heard.
• Provide expert advice to less experienced social workers and contribute to best practices.
• Maintain accurate case records per local and national guidelines.
