Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking an Advanced Social Work Practitioner in the Broxtowe Community Social Work Team to drive transformation in social care. You will lead the team, develop new working practices, and provide expert guidance to less experienced social workers.

This role involves conducting assessments, planning care tailored to individuals, engaging with service users and families, and promoting continuous improvement across the service.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work is required and registration with Social Work England is essential.
• Significant experience in adult social care, ideally in a community setting.
• You may be an AMHP, a Best Interests Assessor (BIA), or a Practice Educator (Level 2) with safeguarding experience.

In This Role, You Will

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need

• A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in adult social care, ideally in a community setting.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social work.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• You will either be an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) a Best Interests Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator (Level 2) Knowledge and experience of safeguarding adult’s work within multi-agency procedures and experience of staff supervision, training, and development.
• You will have a full driver’s licence and the use of a car for work (unless disability precludes this).
