Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to become Gloucestershire's Experts at Hand Advanced Practitioner, leading strategic transformation across education, health and care services as part of the national SEND reform agenda.

This role is a strategic, system-level clinical leadership position, working across partnerships to influence workforce development, service improvement and access to SLT expertise for children and young

Qualifications

• Evidence of advanced practice capability aligned to NHSE framework or working towards this.
• Evidence of CPD relevant to advanced practice, leadership and service improvement.
• Recognised teaching, supervision or coaching qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, system-level leadership to SEND reform through SLT expertise.
• Influence policy, workforce development and service improvement across Gloucestershire.
• Develop student placements, apprenticeships and supervision models.
• Collaborate with NHS, Local Authority, education sector and universities to drive change.
• Support early identification and intervention for speech, language and communication needs.
